Born and raised on the Jersey Shore, 23-year-old Kirk Smith grew up listening to everything from Bruce Springteen and Matchbox 20 to James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic. Greatly influenced by the music of his youth, Kirk picked up his first acoustic guitar and learned to sing by imitating the artists who influenced him. Then, he continued on to more formal training as his passion for music evolved. After serving 4 years in the marines serving his country, Kirk came back home to the Jersey Shore and hooked up with the guys in Woodfish, who just happened to be looking for a great new singer. It was as if it were meant to be.

Steve Kalorin
Bass
Growing up on the jersey shore Steve's love for music started at a young age. Given a bass guitar as gift for his 17th birthday Steve fell in love with the deep tone and driving force that the bass created. As time passed Steve became obsesed with trying to emulate the techiques of his favorite guitar players on the bass. Eventually he developed his own style which he tries to speak through in every Woodfish song.

His love and desire for many different types and styles of music has helped him to become one of the most tasteful and professionally respected guitarist out there today. It has been said that John Samuel is one of those very rare guitarist that actually does really know where and when to place every note in order to compliment the song and the band as a whole.

Obsessed with the beauty of music since childhood, Don Honeycutt has acquired musical skills and knowledge that has enabled him to become a great multi-versed musician. While Don's primary role in Woodfish is Sax and background vocals, Don also possesses great skills for playing flute, guitar, drums, bass and piano. .
